For many it's a concept deeply desired but it seems to get stuck inside the reasoning part somewhere in our heads, dictating what it should sound like to actually be real. When we are needing (and sometimes begging) God to speak we set ourselves up to hear him in a way we think he must sound like. I learned to hear God like Jeremiah did. Remember, Jeremiah told God he was too young to be given such a calling. This simple phrase pops up. "What do you see?" When you are asking God to speak why not be willing first to see things? Let God ask you what you are seeing. God is such a teacher. He knows how we learn and what makes us hungry for his voice. What are you seeing God doing? What are you seeing when you pray? What are you seeing in the church? What are you seeing in your house? If God can ask Jeremiah to describe to him the images he was seeing and then reveal where his spirit was in the midst of it all, God can do the same for you. Sit with the Lord, wait and then tell him what you are seeing. Watch him speak!

A photo posted by Rita Springer (@ritaspringer) on May 21, 2016 at 7:41am PDT
